The Zimbabwe Human Rights Association (ZimRights) in collaboration with International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) launched a book titled 'A Constitutional Law Guide
to Understanding Zimbabwe's Fundamental Socio-Economic and Cultural Human Rights" last Friday.
Authored by constitutional law experts, Justice Alfred Mavedzenge and Douglas J Coltart, the book offers an elaborate understanding on the new constitution, particularly the enforcement of the Declaration of Rights.
ZimRights brings to you the "People's choice award" for the first time ever at its 4th edition of Community Human Rights Defender Awards to be held on the 18th of December in Bulawayo . Nominees comprise of women and men who have excelled in protecting and promoting human rights in their various fields.

As we commemorate United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we call government to ensure that the rights of people with disabilities are fulfilled.
The constitution has raised expectations for people with disabilities but they still face many hurdles and barriers.
The lack of infrastructure, accessible transportation and disability-friendly resources make living difficult for people with disabilities.
